Bertram

This was an investigation of a private residence in Bertram Texas. The home owner has claims of activity ranging from voices heard, shadows moving around to physical contact. There had been the death of a close family member in the home. It was thought that his spirit was partially responsible for the activity reported at the home.

The home itself was relatively small and located in a rural area. The home owner was present during the investigations as well as many friends and neighbors wanting to watch the process. The added noise from the spectators and the small size of our crew posed a few problems for the investigators. We had 3 investigators either sick or otherwise engaged and unable to attend and there was the addition of 2 new people to the team in training. With that being said as usual the CTPS team managed to set up and get the investigation going quickly and professionally.

During an EVP session Pop and Brad (new guy) saw the front door of the home open. Upon closer inspection the door was found to be level, no one had tampered with the door, no wind blowing to create a draft. During other EVP sessions our investigator asked that whom ever she was trying to communicate with please respond with a series of knocks, her request was answered with the knocks she had asked for. The spirit was asked to move toward the K2 meter and light it up. We were able to capture this on video. Upon review of the digital images taken there were several the seem to have a black mass hovering over the area of investigator interest. We wondered could it be a operator error or equipment malfunction but similar images were obtained using different cameras shot by different investigators.

We cut the investigation short due to a cold front that blew in and increasingly boisterous neighbors. We were unable to debunk all of the home owners claims and feel as though further investigations is needed under better controlled circumstances to adequately answer the home owners questions.  Lee CTPS
